I must admit, it is quite hard when you feel one way, and the person you're with feels a different way. It hurts and there's no denying it.

When a person steps out into a position of opening up to someone intimately and allows there heart to be put into that persons hands, there is always the risk of getting heart broken and hurt. But it is the risk we run when getting into the relationship game. I was single for about four years before this relationship and I must say, it was worth the broken heart and the risk. I'm sure that I will get back into a relationship when the right girl comes my way. There are those who are scared of intimacy and jump from one unhealthy relationship to the next, just because they can't stand being alone and yet they can't seem to openly get to the point where they put their trust and their heart in the other persons hand. Others don't even bother trying at all and just enjoy staying single there entire lives, because they're just not willing to take the risk.

Life is full of risk though. In fact a life without risk is rather boring and unfulfilling. I for one will take that risk once again when the time comes, because without taking the risk, sure you'll never get hurt, but you might also miss out on something really fantastic and fulfilling as well.

Hope all is well with everyone out there.
Take care and God Bless. Till next time.

It's March

So it's been a very long time since i last posted on this thing. I just haven't been making time to post. But there is much to talk about.

For the last month and 21 days i have currently been on subaticle at Scheffer Andrew taking some time off instead to work at my church, The Salvation Army E3C. They had opened up a warming center at the beginning of winter and needed someone to cover shifts after a man quit and they found themselves short a man. So I came in to the rescue after some prayer and deliberation and found that God wanted me to go cover the shifts. It's interesting work. i just pretty much sit around and look after homeless people from 11PM - 6AM in the basement of our church. We serve soup and other goodies and have coffee and juice out all night. As much as it sounds like an easy job, which it is on some nights, it is probably one of the most difficult jobs i have had. God is stretching and growing me in new and wonderful ways through it. But it is a difficult thing to turn someone away, because they are to wasted to come in. In some ways the job is like looking after little children. Although the average age is probably people in there mid 30's, many of the clients we have have no clue how to act mature and civilized. Not that they're all like that, in fact some of them are more respectful and wise than many of us living in homes. However there are those who just have gotten use to living on the streets and have no respect for rules or authority. Free living they claim. But a life in bondage to alcohol and drugs, so much so that it has literally stripped them of everything, is the last thing I would call living free. Either way there are some very good people that stay at the center who just simply can't find a place to take them, weather it be that they are to young or have bad credit. Not all the people i meet do struggle with addiction in there, but one thing I can say is that once i've got to know the people in there, I know that they are better than the lives many of them are currently living.

On another note, for the past few months i have been in a relationship with a beautiful woman named Courtney and I'm in love. She has three awesome kids, one boy and two girls. There names are Taylor, Emile, and Chevayah. I like them a lot. My relationship with Courtney is unlike any other I've been in before. It has its ups and downs, but what real relationship doesn't. Sometimes I'm not sure what to do, cause this is the first real relationship i've been in with a woman, but I just put my trust in God through it all and stay by her side through the ups and downs, trying to be a loving boyfriend.

It's an amazing thing that right around the time I started seeing her was about the same time I started at the warming center. Where, like I said, it's teaching me to deal with people with the mentality of children and then with Courtney, she has children. So it's quite an adventure and a trip. The other day we just went out for Emiles' 5th birthday to Chuck-E-Cheeze. It was fun. But I've always been a sucker when it comes to confrontation and sometimes you need to lay down the law with the people at the center and children as well. A loving parent disciplines their children, not because they hate them, but because they love them.

Other than that hope some of you still check on this blog once in a while, even though it's been months since my last post. I might post more often here, now that I have the internet at home once again and just bought a new laptop. Oh yeah I just bought a new laptop as well. It's an iBook G4. It's a bit older. but Ryan gave me a good deal at Westworld on it.

Anyway till next time take care and God bless.

White Poppies

What is everybodies thoughts on this? Fate it seams has had there roll come up snake eyes. With a quite a few inches of snow on the ground, this looks like the end of our construction season once again. I'm kinda looking forward for work to slow down. Of coarse it has been on my mind the last while to go to school to take Pastoral Studies. I'm not realy sure how to afford it, but I don't have any debt so I suppose I could look into getting a student loan. Any advice from anyone on that?
Your input would be appreciated.

Well I'm back Chums. Let's do this!! JAAAAY-SUUUN PYYY-YAAALLL!!!!

Well folks, I'm finally back.

It's been awhile since my last blog update. Work has been super strenu (hmmm not sure how to spell that)... busy these last three months. I finally got my own site all to myself and now I just found out that the last week of work in the cold rain was probably all for nothing, as the winter is almost here. And then just today I find out that the entire site has not yet been approved by a certified engineer. WOW three months into work and still no approvals. The whole thing is pretty much built except for the road which I'll probably have to redo next year as the conditions are getting bad for paving this year. Oh well, I get paid by the hour anyway.

The new truck is working fine, and it better be for the price I paid for it. Only thing is, with such an expensive vehicle, I'd like to keep it in top notch shape, unfortunately with all the mud we've been working in, the interior is already quite messy and I haven't even hit 6000 km yet. Guess that's what happens to a work truck.

God put in on my heart to start a recovery group at my church on Wednesday night's. It's basically a focused twelve step group, only very biblically based. There are many scriptures and other goodies we have to read and discuss about, while we are getting into opening up about our past hurts, habits, and hang ups. This is a new thing for me and I am quite excited to facilitate such a group. Last time I went through this program, it helped me deal with a lot of issues from my past.

I'm also preaching a sermon this Sunday at my church. God gave me a message for myself, but then I felt like he wanted me to share it at the church. So I talked to my pastor and he gave me the ok. Usually if someone from the congregation gives a sermon, the pastors are gone on vacation or at a retreat or something. Not for me though, I'm gonna get to have them sitting front row... NO PRESSURE!!! But really I'm pretty hyped about it because I believe God has put it on my heart and if it's from God I know all will go well. Those of you who pray, please pray for me, that I wouldn't let my own pride or ego get in the way of what God wants to say.

I have been doing a lot more writing this year at home on my Mac. Stay tooned for some of that stuff later on this next year maybe. With the season coming to a slow down at work, I look forward to begin posting again more often. Hope there's still some readers left out there.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kingpyle.blogspot.com/2006/10/well-im-back-chums-lets-do-this-jaaaay.html' title='Well I'm back Chums. I've been busy with work, so I haven't had time to post. I don't have the internet at home right now, so work is the only place I update at. And being in the field instead of the office has made my posting rare.

Lets see here, to get started I've bought a new truck for work. It is a 2005 Dodge Dakota. Here is a picture of the exact same one, colour and all.

Next I've been going to wedding galore this year. It's like every week someone I know is getting hitched. Congratulations to them all. Particularly Russell and Megan Puk. I love you guys.

Street Ministry at my church has increased probably 50 fold since we started up this thing 8 or so months ago. God is truly doing a miracle through that ministry. There are now many regulars who come and visit us weekly and are building relationships with people who have cleaned up from the addiction lifestyle and now live fulfilling lives for God. It gives them much hope and it touches them to actually have someone who cares for them and shows them some respect. Street people for the most part are looked down upon by people in our society and are use to people treating them like trash. You can see how much they love coming to a place, where people are actually genuinely worried about them and want to help in whatever way they can, just by looking at them when they are there. It's pretty cool to be a part of.

Mario Party seams to be happening quite a bit over at Clint's and Gregg place, which apparently Clint is selling. He has told me the Gregg wants to move out on his own if they do leave. I'm asking you now Gregg (and I'll ask when I see you, if I remember) Is this true? If it is good luck. Rent for one person is super expensive right now. Maybe I misunderstood him. Either way if you need help moving just give me a call.

Oh Yeah plus I went to Newfoundland this summer for one of those weddings. Man, it is a lot more spread out there. There is a very small population, but houses everywhere it seamed. The ocean was pretty cool. I'd never been to the Atlantic before, so it was neat to see. I got to go out on a boat and see the sites. The landscaping was beautiful along the coast. Lots of rocks and trees. Very nice!!

Well I think that it for now TA TA till next time.

A brand new Pyle!

Well I'm an uncle. My brother Greg and his wife Vicky have just had the first of grand children for my parents. This makes me a first time uncle and I went to visit the little guy this last weekend. I can't say it's gonna make to much of a difference to me being an uncle. But for my brother and Vicky their lives are changed forever.

Many say having children is a time when the parents are forced to grow up. I would certainly hope so. I know I've been around young children and I've seen the influence parents have on there children growing up. In a way there life is in your hands. Should this cause a person to grow up? You bet it should! But I think my brother and his wife are ready to mature in themselves in order to raise the new life they have brought into this world.

I am so happy for them and I pray that little Brody will be blessed throughout his life. Children are a gift from God and my brother tells me he has never experienced anything greater in his lifetime. So I pray blessings on him and his wife, and give them my congratulations and support. May God bless there entire family. But I ask you, how do we know it exists? We can not see it, touch it, smell it, hear it, or taste it. Not even one of our senses can sense gravity. Yet we are all so sure that gravity exists. Why?

It's because we can see the effects of it all around us. Even though we can not see gravity in itself, when we look around we can see everything bound to the earth. Unless they use some force to counter the gravitational pull, like a bird or plane. Gravity is the unseen force that binds all things to the earth. I think we would all agree on this.

Yet when it comes to the existence of God, there are so many people who deny he exists. God is in a way like gravity. He is the unseen force holding all existence together. Without him nothing that exists, would exist. This is even found in the bible in John 1:3. To deny God's existence is like denying the existence of gravity. Just because we can not sense him with our physical senses doesn't mean he is not there. Only a fool would claim that gravity doesn't exist. In my opinion the same is true about God, for we can see the effects of his existence all around us. Even in existence itself. Everything that exists,in itself,is a miracle of miraculous proportions.

Now it's one thing to accept that God exists. But it's an entirely different question altogether who he is and if we can know him personally. I assure you that if you can get to the point where you can accept that he is there, then perhaps you may be willing to search to find out if you can know anything about who he is. And that's the real question to be asked. You already know my answer. I urge you to find your own. Take care and God Bless.

Luke 11:9-10
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

So Much for twice a month

Well it's been about a month since I last posted and I'll tell ya, it's hard to find the time. Not having the internet at home is one giant factor for the reason why my posting is so minimal. Another reason is that I'm just so busy with work and ministry that it's hard to find the time to write. Another thing is that every time I do happen to find myself in front of my computer I can't think of anything to post about. And now I'm posting about that. Wowey isn't this exciting. Ah well as long as it keeps ya all reading.

I'm thinking about switching back to Telus for phone and maybe internet. They're offering some pretty good promo's right now to try to win people back from Shaw. As much as I don't like Telus there service was better than Shaw's as far as the phone went. Shaw still has a bunch of glitches on their system. Like my red blinking light to tell me if there's a message never seams to go off. Anyway I'm not sure if I'm ready for the Internet at home just quite yet, but I am looking forward to when I am ready to get it back, if ever, so I can post more often.

It's been awhile.

Well it's been quite sometime since I last posted. I've been so busy with work and other things and just haven't had access to the internet for the last month. There are many wonderful things happening all around me and I am simply in complete awe about them all. Check out my God page if you want to know more about that. I assure you that I have no reason to make such things up. Everything written there is as accurate as I can write it.

YC is this weekend and I'm looking forward to checking that out. I hope all you readers out there are doing well and I'll try to post at least twice a month from now on. But I'm not making any promises. Well it's gonna be a super busy summer and I'm just getting prepared for it. With weddings galore and many other cool activities coming this summer year I am hyped to see what happens.

Peace be with you all and I'll talk to some of ya's later.

It's just weather trends

I find it amazing how many people claim that this warm weather is just from weather trends. Oh how I remember winter back as a child when they where good and cold with lots of snow. But now this last winter I think only had four days it snowed all winter and was hovering in the low pluses most days. This spring also already feels like June outside. Not that I can complain about it to much. I like the warm weather working outside and all. However I can't help but think what they taught us back in elementary about Global warming and now it seam like a really long time since the last really cold winter we had.

Well I for one think that it has something to do with all the stuff we're dumping into our atmosphere, but I guess over time, time will surely tell what we are doing to this world of ours or if it's just weather trends.

New Blog page on my Godly thoughts

Well I've started a new blog page with blogs on my different thoughts on God, Christianity, and Religious beliefs and other writings. I hate when people say this to me. It's not that I don't appreciate what they are trying to do, but they need to understand that I deserve absolutely no credit on my recovery, other than that of seeking help from God.

People always think that I am stronger than they are (I'm talking about people trying to recover here), but this can't be farther from the truth. The truth is that I was always one of the worst for falling into peer pressure and that I had no backbone to say no. I smoked so much pot and did so much other stuff, like exctacy and meth, that I was going to die by the time I was 22 if I didn't clean up. You see it's not that I am a strong, or even good person for that matter. But it is by the grace of God and him alone that I live freely today.

I understand that many of you readers out there don't even believe God exists and I used to think just like you, but now I can not deny the love and power I have seen since turning my eyes towards him. At one point in time I denied God's existence with every part of my being, but it just led to my demise. But rather than try to cram biblical references down your throats, all I can really testify to is that my life has completely changed since I turned my will over to him. Those of you who know me can even testify to this.

So I guess all that I'm trying to say in this post is that I have no problem with people being happy and excited about my life taking a drastic change for the better. But please, please try to open up your minds and realize that if I was left to try to change on my own I would have failed miserably. Trust me I tried to change by myself and it didn't work. I just kept getting high all the time. I tried talking to people about it hoping they could help, but they didn't know what to do. I tried to stay away from the people I would get high with, but I just couldn't resist the temptation to get high. God was my last and only hope for recovery and a new life and he is the only one who deserves the credit for a life that has been changed.

So weather you believe or not, just understand that nothing can ever make me deny this fact, for I know in my heart the one who saved me and I am so grateful to him because I never did anything to deserve to be saved. I'll do another blog about this at a later time, but for now I say God Bless You and have a happy Easter.

Almost Construction Season

Well it almost time to start up a new construction season, which is really good because the office is getting mighty boring. I can only play so much online poker before the guilt of slacking off so badly finaly starts to set in. So now I'm blogging instead. Ha HA Ha!

At work we just got nifty new equipment for this season. This is a picture of my brand new Recon Pocket PC. It's nifty and I've already downloaded some games onto it for my playing pleasure in the summer during my down time in the field. It's so heavy duty and ruged just like my Jeap. I think they're gonna like eachother.

Well here's hoping the best to all you readers out there for this spring. I probably won't post for awhile now since I'll be busy working, but we'll have to wait and see. It was always hanging loosely off the shifter and causing my hand to slip around while shifting. So I went to Princess Auto and bought a cheap plastic one that has a purple fluorescent bulb that lights up when plugged into my cigarette lighter. It's about the cheeziest thing I've ever owned. It was only four dollars. The real question is how could I not buy it.

Now I just have to find a digital camera for the same price so I can take pictures to put on here so all you can see the coolness of it.

I don't know why I am so cheap, but hey, I still got all I need. All though I have heard many mock the Klein government for its choice in this matter, I would have to say that those who think the money could be used better somewhere else should take there $400 and donate it to a worthy cause. Be grateful for it and put the money to the best use you see fit weather that is to help in some way or to squander it, in the end it's your choice.

Although I'm sure that the Alberta government is gonna see a whole lot of that money coming back there way through taxes on VLT's and other gambling, booze, and cigarettes! Mainly about my past experiences and such. Only problem is my computer at home isn't currently hooked up to the internet, so you'll all have to wait on reading any of my stuff.

Also I've realized that all those years not paying attention in English class has affected my writing ability. For example my spelling and punctuation are simply atrocious. Good thing my computer has a spell check. To bad it doesn't fix all my other grammarical mistakes. So I guess I need to start with the basics. Does anyone have some grade 7-9 level English books that I can have or what?

Could I waist anymore work time?

Well my co-worker Albert got me and my office partner Brad hooked on the games at this site called www.addictinggames.com. Hmmm I wonder if I'm gonna be able to manage updating my blog more often this year. Well I'll sure give it a try. Just to let all my peoples know what I'm up to. I can already tell this is gonna be a busy year for me. I'm at that point in my recovered life where it is time for me to try to help other recovering addicts and other people in need of a spiritual awakening. I really feel like God has some big plans for me coming up here and I am glad to be a part of His plan. After I surrendered my life to him, in order to escape my drug addiction, it has just continually gotten better. I now live with purpose and find much meaning in my life.

Well here's to the next year! Spreading Christmas Cheer and goodwill and all that stuff. This nice lady I just recently met made cookies for us to give to people who came to their doors. It was actually a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone who is tired of the holiday / Christmas season as it has now become an orgy of consumerism. Whether you believe in Christ, or not, the one thing I think we can all agree on is that spreading cheer and goodwill toward our fellow man is a worthwhile task. So this Christmas get a group together and go sing for your neighbors. You won't regret you did. It's great fun. Not that this jeep is a piece or antything, but I know I was excited about the old Ford truck I bought a while back. I don't have a picture of the jeep, but it looks something like the picture here. I just blamed it on the drugs. I'm not really sure the reason why I don't show excitment about to much. I think it's because not that many activities excite me, but I just like hanging out with my friends no matter what we are doing. Jeremy and Gregg tell me that it makes them feal like I don't want to hang with them, but I assure you that that's not it. So since that is the way it makes them feal I will try to act more excited about doing stuff for there sake. I Love you guys. Weather you believe they exist in a spiritual world outside our own or you don't. We all have certain weaknesses, faults, and addictions that haunt us. Some of us try to keep these secret from the people around us in the world and in some cases even ourselves. We go into denial either saying we don't have a problem or we just try not to think about the things we are ashamed of thinking and/or doing. For me at this point in time one of those biggest things is an addiction to pornography and masturbation. That is the very reason I haven't posted in such a long time.

I was staying off-line because I knew I couldn't resist the temptation to surf for Porn on the computer. So I decided that the best coarse of action was to stay off the computer, hence I wouldn't surf for porn, and that's exactly what I did. It worked for awhile too. Sometimes running from temptation is the best coarse of action. Like a recovering alcoholic staying away from the bar and party's where people drink. Unfortunately for me, I learned the hard way that you can only run for so long before the temptation catches you and puts itself right in front of your face.

You see my roommate had gotten a job with Shaw cable and now we have the full cable package, including the Playboy channel and Hustler TV. So I had my roommate lock them out. About a month later to my supprise the channels were unlocked somehow. I got him to lock them out again. Again a month later they were unlocked. This time I didn't have the willpower to resist and I gave in to my temptation. The next day I got him to lock them out again and I felt ashamed for not being able to resist. However my God filled me with much joy and taught me something from the experience.

He showed me that running is only effective for so long and that during that time one must start building up one's attacks to go head on with the "Demon" itself. Running is a defensive strategy which can be quite effective and sometimes must be used if you are to weak to defend head on. But when the enemy finally catches you. You had better be ready for him.

And so my training has begun. No more running. This does not mean that I will get my roommate to unlock the adult channels or that I will go on my computer at 2 in the morning "just to check my e-mail". It does mean that I will stop being afraid of the computer and will start posting blogs more often. For me it also means I must meditate on the Word of God, every night in order to gain strength to defeat my foe when he comes to tempt me again. For many of you your strength may come from something or someone else, but for me it comes from The LORD my God. I am not trying to convert anyone to believe what I believe or to do as I do, but I would reccomend dealing with your "Demon's" before they consume your heart and stay with you for the rest of your lives. Don't be in denial about anything to yourself any longer. Even though it is difficult to face your inner self and it's "Demons" sometimes, it is much better in the long run.

So now any one who reads this blog will be able to hold me accountable for the wrong I do. I will be honest with what I post so that I can be sure that I will have to deal with my problems, temptations, faults, and wrong doings. I am sick of running from them or pretending they're not there. That is why I post for this for everyone to read. So that I may be held accountable for those things and try to deal with them.

It's Time To Go On The Attack!!!!!

Thanks for reading and please post comments if you have any suggestions for me. They are more than welcomed.

Hockey season is finally here

Well it's been a while since my last post and I still haven't dented my FF games. But thank God hockey season is finally here, weather pending. Last weakend me and many other of the boys took a couple hours to shovel off the basket ball courts where we play some ball hockey on a regular basis. Gregg didn't come out cause he's a PUSSY. Looks like his co-workers had him pinned right, but not because of his outlook on the stippers. That's an honerable and difficult thing to do, To stand up for your morals when everyone around you disagrees with them. No I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about Gregg being a PUSSY for not shoveling snow. So if Gregg ever try's to tell you he's not a pussy just ask him to do something worthwile, but hard, and you will see his Pussyness in all it's glory. Ah that's Ok though, I forgive Gregg and his PUSSY like ways. Not all of us can have the balls it takes to be great. I give my Thanks to Clint, Russel, George, Kyle, Owen, and Mike for all there help to get this ball hockey season ready to go. We all must really love the game of Hockey to do such a thing. I know I do. Lets get down to it. Game on.

Final Fantasy Mayhem

Well I just picked up Final Fantasy X2 to add to my colection of Final Fantasy games. Perhaps you're just bored and have nothing better to do! Well either way is fine by me. I am gonna try to post on here as often as I think of doing it, but I do have tendancies to not go online for certain periods of time, even though my IChat is on all the time. I think typing up my thought could be quite a good thing to get into though. Everyone else seems to enjoy it.
